According to Belgian media, the 2015 edition of the Tour de France is likely to feature “the longest kilometer of the cycling calendar” – Mur de Huy, as an anticipated finish of the stage starting in Antwerp.
It has been officially confirmed that Utrecht will host the Grand Depart of next season’s edition of the French three-week event, where the event will kick off on July 4 with a short prologue-like individual time trial. Short visit in the Netherlands will be followed by a passage through Belgium, where next two stages will take place.
According to Sporza, who have contacted the Tour organizers, Antwerp and Seraing are expected to host starts of the second and third stage of the event, and the former should be concluded with an extremely tough Fleche Wallonne finale on the Mur de Huy.
The official confirmation will come no sooner than on October 22, where the route of the 2015 Tour de France will be unveiled in Paris.
