Ag2r-La Mondial will count on their new signings in Sunday's big classic, Ronde van Vlaanderen. Sebastien Turgot and Damien Gaudin will lead the team in the Flemish monument and will be supported by in-form Lloyd Mondory and Steve Chainel.

Ag2r-La Mondiale has never been one of the dominating teams in the Flemish classics but for the 2014 season the management tried to strengthen the roster for the hard races in the north. By signing the Europcar duo of Sebastien Turgot and Damien Gaudin, the team is hopeful that it will play a bigger role in these events.

Turgot finished 2nd in the 2012 Paris-Roubaix while Gaudin was 5th in last year's edition in the Hell of the North and are both better suited to the French pavés than the Belgian hellingen. Hence, they won't be among the favourites when they line up as team leader in Sunday's Ronde van Vlaanderen but they certainly give the team more cards to play.

They will be supported by Steve Chainel and Lloyd Mondory who have both shown good form in recent weeks. The team is completed by sprinter Davide Appollonio, Gediminas Bagdonas, Hugo Houle and Sebastien Minard who has been brought in from the Volta a Catalunya as a reinforcement of the classics team.

The team has also selected its roster for the midweek semiclassic Scheldeprijs which usually ends in a bunch sprint. For that race, the Minard and Mondory will be replaced by sprinter Maxime Daniel and youngster Julian Kern. Appollonio is the team's likely captain for the flat race.

Another part of the team will line up in the next round of the Coupe de France, Friday's Route Adelie de Vitré which takes place on a hilly course. Samuel Dumoulin will look to defend his overall title in the race series and will be the leader of the team.

He will be supported by Julien Berard, Guillaume Bonnafond, Daniel, Classique Loire Atlantique winner Alexis Gougeard, TT specialist Patrick Gretsch, Axel Domont, and Blel Kadri who makes his return to competition after illness.
