Andrey Amador cannot join the Tour of Qatar as he planned, as the Costa Rican rider has encountered problems in managing their visa upon arrival in Madrid and subsequent trip to Qatar.
As reported on his website, "after spending a night in Madrid, I had planned to arrive in the Qatari capital at 6pm (local time) with the rest of the Movistar team, but because of problems with the visa, I could not catch the same flight as the team.”
Amador quickly went to the Qatar embassy in Madrid to solve the problem. In the beginning, the debut of Amador was not in danger despite the inconvenience that has been found on his return to Spain. He reached Qatar the night before the race started and managed to make the start line this morning.
