The ASO have announced that Tour de France riders may now sleep in a room on their own. The previous rule dictated that eight of the nine riders on a team were paired with each other.
“We’ve taken into account a request from the International Riders’ Association (CPA) and we’ve done our best to acquiesce as much as possible to their expectations,” Tour director Thierry Gouvenou told AFP.
During the 2015 Tour, plenty of riders complained about the lack of quality of the rooms they were staying in and their petition to their union has clearly had the desired effect.
