French rider Warren Barguil is very strong during the first week of the Tour de France. This morning, the Giant-Alpecin rider is 11th overall with only 1 minute and 19 secondes behind Tony Martin (Etixx-Quick Step), the yellow jersey. But he insists the general classification is not his main goal. He wants to win a stage.
"I take it day by day and that’s my strength, I’m not stressed out", Barguil told Reuters. "You can lose time today, tomorrow (because of possible bunch-splitting winds). I said I’d see where I stand after the team time trial (on Sunday). I’m enjoying it, it’s cool, I’m here to discover the Tour de France and enjoy it."
