Wilson Rincon and João Gaspar have been suspended. The UCI have announced that both Funvic Soul Cycles-Carrefour riders tested positive for CERA at the Tour of Portugal. Earlier this season, their teammate Kléber Ramos tested positive for the same drug at the Olympics.
Rincon and Gaspar can still request an analysis of the B sample. However, the duo has been provisionally suspended.
Because of the two new cases, the ProContinental Funvic team has had three positive test within a period of twelve months. This can lead to an suspension for the team of a period of fifteen days to twelve months. The UCI will refer the matter to the disciplinary committee, which will take a decision in due course.
