According to Belgian newspaper La Derniere Heure, Brussels has submitted its candidacy to host the 2019 Tour de France Grand Depart.
The Tour has visited Brussels 15 times in the past, most recently in 2010 when Alessandro Petacchi won a bunch sprint, but it hasn’t hosted the Grand Depart since 1958.
