The Caja Rural-Seguros RGA cycling team will compete again this weekend on French soil in the Boucles Sud Ardeches race. The team returns as enthusiastic as ever and hopes to continue improving in order to be in front in the finales of each race and thus compete for victory.
The competitive team selected for this event is made up of: Sergio Pardilla, David Arroyo, Heiner Parra, Ricardo Vilela, Hugh Carthy, Antonio Molina and Edard Prades.
The team also gave an update on its four injured riders:
Javier Aramendía will still be unable to compete for a little over a month following his operation.
Amets Txurruka continues to improve little by little, he has greater mobility and a tighter grip on the handlebars but he must continue to exercise caution with this collarbone.
Carlos Barbero hopes to be competing again in about three weeks’ time, he has a check-up on the 11th of March to determine his progress.
Pello Bilbao has had his splint removed and continues to evolve favourably. However, he still does not know when he will be able to compete again. He hopes to be well enough to participate in the Vuelta al País Vasco.
