Spanish climber Victor de la Parte is the new addition to CCC Sprandi Polkowice. He has signed a 1-year contract.

"We were very impressed by his performance in the Tour of Austria. He was brilliant in the mountains and Jan Hirt had to dig deep to keep up with him on the climbs. De la Parte took the two hardest stages and the general classification," Piotr Wadecki, sporting director of CCC Sprandi Polkowice, explains. "The Spaniard will be a big reinforcement for our team for the stage races. He is not only strong in the mountains, but can also time trial well. He has won a few races against the clock in his career, also the short ones."

Victory in Austria was not the only one for De la Parte in 2015. He also claimed a win in the Luxembourgish stage race Flèche du Sud.

"He confirmed there that he can not only perform on longer climbs, but is very dynamic and dangerous for his rivals on shorter hills as well," Wadecki added.

Victor De la Parte began his professional career in the ProContinental team Caja Rural. For the next few years he was riding for continental squads SP Tableware (2 years),  Efapel - Glassdrive and Team Vorarlberg. His cycling palmares include victories in the overall classification of the Sibiu Cycling Tour (2012), Tour d'Algérie (2013), and on a stage of the Volta a Portugal em Bicicleta Liberty Seguros (2014).

This season was his breakthrough year. After success in 2.2 and 1.2 races, he claimed the win in the 2.HC event in Austria. In addition to winning Flèche du Sud, he was also 6th in the Spanish individual time trial Championships and 3rd in the Oberösterreichrundfahrt  in which he won mountain prologue.
