A very strong CCC Sprandi Polkowice lineup will compete in the one-day Dutch event Volta Limburg Classic (4th of April). It will be one of the build-up races for the upcoming Amstel Gold Race (19th of April).

"Riders who have shown great form in Catalunya and Coppi e Bartali will take part in Volta Limburg Classic. The main leader will be Maciej Paterski, but due to the fact that Grega Bole and Davide Rebellin are also in the roster, we should be ready for every race scenario," DS Piotr Wadecki said. "Racing in the Netherlands is different than in other parts of Europe, since the riders are racing on narrow and twisting roads. It’s important to have some preparation ahead of Amstel Gold Race, which is also held in Limburg, in such terrain. The final test before AGR will take place in Belgium, De Brabantse Pijl."

CCC Sprandi Polkowice will take on Volta Limburg Classic after two successful performances – in Volta Ciclista a Catalunya and Coppi e Bartali. In Catalunya, Maciej Paterski won the opening stage, wore the leader’s jersey for the next two days and on a penultimate stage took 3rd place. Grega Bole finished 2nd on stage 1a of Coppi e Bartali, and Davide Rebellin claimed 3rd on the last day of the race, finishing 5th overall. He was also part of the 4-man squad that won the team time trial. Jarosław Marycz, was on the winning team as well.

The line-up will be rounded out by Marek Rutkiewicz, who broke clear on the final stage of the Catalonian race in Barcelona, Bartłomiej Matysiak who finished 5th a few times this year after a bunch sprint and always solid Branislau Samoilau and Mateusz Taciak.

Volta Limburg Classic is an almost 200-kilometer race, with a start and the end in Eijsden. The race runs on a hilly and winding course. In the last few years only 50-60 riders would reach the finish line which is only 1/3 of the peloton. “The orange team” was competing in the previous two editions, both times claiming Top 10 places. In 2013 Rebellin was 3rd and in 2014 Paterski took 9th.

Line-up for  Volta Limburg Classic:

Grega Bole, Marek Rutkiewicz, Branislau Samoilau, Jarosław Marycz, Bartłomiej Matysiak, Davide Rebellin, Maciej Paterski, Mateusz Taciak
