LAMPRE-MERIDA flew to Oman with the hope of healing the scars which were suffered in Tour of Qatar (broken elbow for Mohoric and broken femur for Arashiro).
The blue-fuchsia-green team selected seven riders for the Tour de Oman: Rui Costa will be the captain and he'll be supported by Matteo Bono, Davide Cimolai, Mario Costa, Marko Kump, Luka Pibernik and Federico Zurlo.
After the seasonal debut in the Dubai Tour, the World Champion from 2013 will try to evaluate his competitiveness against the big names for the general classification and the main appointment will be the fourth stage, with the summit finish on the Jabal Al Akhdhar (Green Mountain) where LAMPRE-MERIDA won in 2015 thanks to Valls.
The support group will be very important and its members will be verstile riders who'll be ready to also help the duo of fast riders Cimolai-Kump in the less demanding stages.
