The organizers of the 2017 Grand Départ have announced the details of the second stage of the Tour de France.
After the start in Dusseldorf, the riders will pass through Erkrath, Mettmann and Ratingen before they return to the North Rhine-Westphalian capital, and then they will go through Meerbusch, Neuss, Kaarst, Korschenbroich, Mönchengladbach, Kreis Düren and Aachen before they will cross Belgian border.
The finish in Liège was already announced at the route presentation in October. On the way to the Walloon city, two climbs of the 4th category will be tackled. The stage is expected to be one for the sprinters.
