The courses for two of the biggest stage races in France, Tour du Limousin and Tour du Haut-Var, have been revealed.

The route of the Tour du Limousin is almost finalized. Sill looking for a city to host the riders at the start of the first stage, the organizers already know that the peloton will arrive in Rochechouart on the first day. The riders will then pass through Monts de Gueret and Chaumeil before the traditional finish in Limoges on August 18 where we will know the successor of Joey Rosskopf who won the 2016 edition. The race traditionally suits the sprinters and puncheurs like Sonny Colbrelli who won two stages in 2016 and the overall in 2015.

Tuesday, August 15: Stage 1 (to be decided) - Rochechouart 
Wednesday, August 16: Stage 2: Saint-Etienne de Fursac - Les Monts de Gueret  
Thursday, August 17: Stage 3, St. Pantaleon de Larche - Chaumeil  
Friday, August 18: Stage 4 Saint-Junien - Limoges

On Sunday, the Tour du Haut Var unveiled its 2017 edition which will be held February 18-19. Won by French champion Arthur Vichot in 2016, the event will again offer a fairly difficult course. The first stage will lead riders from Cannet-des-Maures to Saint-Paul-en-Forêt and include the Mur de Fayence almost fifty kilometers from the finish line. The second stage around Draguignan will be more than 200 kilometers long and will include a multitude of climbs, including, Bastide, Tourtour, Col de la Grange, Grasse and finally Tuillières. The route will again suit the puncheurs like in 2016 where Tom-Jelte Slagter won the first stage before Vichot took the final stage and the overall.
