While the West of France has been totally abandoned in the route of the 2017Tour de France, the Tour will return in 2018 with a passage through Brittany.
France Bleu reports that the peloton will spend several days in the region and tackle a stage between Lorient and Pointe du Raz.This could be a special day with thirty kilometers of dirt roads. ASO took the opportunity to test similar roads at this year's Paris-Nice where the riders faced dirt roads in the finale of the first stage which was won by Arnaud Demare.
The full route will be presented in October.
