Fabio Duarte still hasn't decided his future and there is a chance that he will still be riding for Colombia. The 2008 U23 World Champion is considering a "very good offer" from another team but he no longer rules out the possibility of continuing at Claudio Corti's team.
Yesterday it was reported that Fabio Duarte had decided to leave Colombia and would announce his new team in the weekend. The truth is that the Colombian has not made a final decision yet but is expected to do so during this week.
"I have not decided whether I will stay with Colombian or not. I have a very good offer from another team but Claudio Corti has asked me to stay. I will study it with my manager," he told El Tiempo.
"The offer is very good but I have not signed anything yet. I have talked to Corti and he made me a proposal. I will talk to my manager in the coming days," the Colombian said.
In 2014, Duarte got close to a maiden win in the Giro d'Italia as he finished second in the mountain stages to Montecampione and Panrotta. Like in the stages to Tre Cime di Lavaredo in 2013 and Orvieto in 2011, he had to settle for the runner-up spot.
His last win was the Coppa Sabatini in 2012 and a stage in the Giro del Trentino in 2011.
