Bob Jungels was definitely one of the grand tour revelations last season. The Luxembourg mainly showed himself in the Giro d’Italia where he won the white jersey for best young rider and took sixth place after wearing the pink jersey for three stages.
Etixx-QuickStep sports director Davide Bramati is fascinated by the talent of his Luxembourgish protégé.
"We knew his talent,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “He started to think about the GC. With the white jersey, he achieved his goal. With the 6th place, he has proved to be a talent. Now you'll often see him fighting for the win."
"He is very strong in the time trial, if not the strongest,” added Bramati about the possibility of a victory in a Grand Tour. “In the future he needs to hold on on the long climbs. He needs to improve in the big mountains."
