This month Team Giant-Shimano is hosting its first Fan Day in cooperation with the team's partners. This is a chance for loyal supporters to get up close to all aspects of the team, including riders, staff and many of the partners involved with the team.

The Fan Day will be held on 15 October 2014, at Fortuna Sittard Stadion, in Sittard. 

Team Giant-Shimano general manager Iwan Spekenbrink said: "We wanted to show our appreciation to the fans of the team and also to help grow our fan-base, and what better way to do this than to bring the team and fans together.

"We decided to go with the format of a fan day to maximise the impact and number of people that could come and mix with the team. It also allows us to work with many of our partners at once to bring together a day full of interesting activities and great offers exclusively for the fans."

People attending the day will have the chance to meet and greet riders and staff on the team, purchase items from the partner market at exclusive discounts, as well as potentially winning some great prizes. 

Partners attending the Fan Day include Giant, Liv, Shimano, Vliegtickets.nl, Born, Uvex, Unigarant and Elacin. With the team as its ambassador, Trees for All will also attend the Fan Day.
