Chris Horner will make his debut for Lampre-Merida at the Challenge Mallorca as part of the 12-man team the squad has selected for the four individual events the make up the race.
Last year, the 42 year old became the oldest winner of a Grand Tour when he won the Vuelta. Despite this, he found a contract hard to come by and was eventually rewarded late last month with a deal with the Italian team.
