Thor Hushovd has revealed he will not take part in the World Championships in Ponferrada in Spain after he crashed out of the final stage of the Tour du Poitou-Charentes on Friday.
He posted a picture of his injuries saying: “No Worlds for me after crash yesterday. I'm doing fine, but need few days off the bike.”
This is Hushovd’s final year as a professional. He was the 2010 World Champion after winning in Geelong, Australia in a bunch sprint.
