3rd, 4th and 5th. Team Southeast had one of the best days of 2015 at Coppa Sabatini which was won by Eduard Prades ahead of LammertinK and Mauro Finetto, Simone Ponzi and Andrea Fedi.
The triple top 5 means a big step forward in the ranking of the Italian Cup which now almost seems to be won by the team. The next race is Saturday's Giro dell'Emilia.
“Such a shame," Finett said. "Last year I tried too early, this year I tried too late. Maybe next year I’ll make the right timing. Prades was really strong but when he attacked nobody followed him and so when I launched my sprint he already had 50 metres of advantage. I wanted to do like Colbrelli last year so I started my sprint in 4th-5th position and caught up but the gap was too big.”
“I’m a bit upset because I was too far behind at the beginning of the final climb and I didn’t have time to get back. A good result but it could have been better," Fedi said.
