During the week of the national championships, 16 riders from LAMPRE-MERIDA will be in action.
Two riders from the blue-fuchsia-green team competed in the past week. The team got 2nd place with Matej Mohoric in the Slovenian time trial championships and 6th with Tsgabu Grmay in the Ethiopian road race.
The first LAMPRE-MERIDA rider to race will be Mattia Cattaneo, who'll participate in the Italian time trial on Wednesday. It will take place in Romanengo over a distance of 41 km (two laps of a circuit of 20.5 km).
LAMPRE-MERIDA will race on familiar roads at the Italian road championships: ten riders will race in Darfo Boario Terme, where the blue-fuchsia-green team traditionally organize the team's training camps.
Sports director Marco Marzano will lead Matteo Bono, Mattia Cattaneo, Davide Cimolai, Valerio Conti, Roberto Ferrari, Sacha Modolo, Manuele Mori, Simone Petilli, Diego Ulissi and Federico Zurlo.
Four riders will participate in the Slovenian road championships which will take place in Domzale. In addition to current champion Luka Pibernik, LAMPRE-MERIDA will count on Marko Kump, Matej Mohoric and Jan Polanc.
Ilia Koshevoy will take part in the Belarusian road race championships in Navahrudak and Przemyslaw Niemiec will be at the start of the Polish road race championships in Swidnica.
