The Tour of Hainan will be the last appointment of the 2015 season for LAMPRE-MERIDA.
The Chinese race will take place from the 20th to the 28th of October on an island located in the Gulf of Tonkin in the South China Sea.
Sports director Simon Pedrazzini and the seven riders Matteo Bono, Mattia Cattaneo, Valerio Conti, Mario Costa, Roberto Ferrari and Xu Gang will reach Hainan, landing in Haikou airport where they will be welcomed by a delegation from Merida.
"This is the final appointment in a very long season full of satisfactions. In Hainan we must make performances which will make us proud," sports director Pedrazzini said. "We have the potential skills to go for stage victories or for a place in the top 5 of the overall classification."
The team will be led by Ferrari in the sprints while Conti and Cattaneo can target the GC which will probably be decided in the queen stage on the penultimate stage.
