On August 2, the Tour of Pologne will start from Warsaw and offer LAMPRE-MERIDA the opportunity to fight in 7 stages (1 time trial) for a total of 1076 km.
The blue-fuchsia-green team will take part in the rac with 7 Italian riders and on 1 Pole. In fact, Przemyslaw Niemiec will have Bonifazio, Cattaneo, Conti, Ferrari, Modolo, Mori and Ulissi at his side. The team will be directed by the duo of Simone Pedrazzini and Bruno Vicino.
"Team LAMPRE-MERIDA would like, as usual, to honor the Tour de Pologne in the best possible way, also because it is a World Tour event," sports director Pedrazzini said All of our riders will be back after a rest period, so we have to evaluate their reaction to the race pace at first.
"We have selected a trio of competitive sprinters with Bonifazio, Ferrari and Modolo. We'll try to obtain a top result in one of the sprints, even if we're aware that the opponents are strong.
"For what concerns the overall classification, Niemiec will try to repeat last year's performance which gave him the final 5th place. He'll share the responsability for the overall classification with Ulissi. A mix of vitality and experience will come from Cattaneo, Conti and Mori."
