Lampre-Merida denies interest in Samuel Sánchez and insists that the BMC Racing Team’s Spaniard does not fit into their squad for next season.
A spokesman for the Italian team told BiciCiclismo that: "These are baseless rumors: Although he is an experienced rider and his history is full of great results, Samuel Sanchez is not in the plans of Team Lampre-Merida for 2015.”
"Every new rider or contract extension shall be officially released through the team's website or a press release."
Michel Gros, representing Samuel Sánchez, revealed yesterday in L'Equipe "an approach" to Lampre-Merida, though assumed difficulties to "reposition" the Spaniard left him in a "worrying" situation during "difficult times".
