Gustav Erik Larsson (Cult) is back on top of the Swedish time trial hierarchy after he reclaimed the national title in today's edition of the national championships. The multiple champion took his seventh win by beating Alexander Wetterhall (Tre Berg) by 22 seconds while Joakim Aleheim completed the podium.

Last year Gustav Erik Larsson had returned to form after a slow start to the year just in time for the Swedish time trial championships where he aimed for a fifth consecutive title. However, he crashed hard while training for the event and missed the rest of the season due to his severe injuries, leaving it to Alexander Gingsjö to take the title that he had owned for almost half a decade

This year he has stepped down a level with the Cult team and it has taken a long time for the Swede to get back to his former level. However, he is now back in form and today he confirmed his comeback by reclaiming the title he lost 12 months ago.

Larsson covered the 50km course in Sollerö in a time of 1.00.22 which was 22 seconds faster than Alexander Wetterhall. Joakim Aleheim finished fourth while defending champion Gingsjö had to settle for fourth.

Larsson will be back in action on Sunday when he lines up for the road race championships.
