AG2R La Mondiale has announced the selection for the upcoming Vuelta a Burgos taking place from the 4th to the 8th of August. Pierre Latour, 7th in the recent Tour of Austria, will be the leader of the French team.
"We will have several objectives at the start of the Vuelta a Burgos," sports director Didier Jannel said. "In the team time trial, the aim will be to lose a minimum amount of time in a discipline that is not our specialty. This time trial should also allow us to take a look at the roads of the 17th stage of the Vuelta.
"After a good Tour of Austria, Pierre Latour can expect a good GC in this event. We can count on the boys with experience like Sébastien Minard but also Quentin Jauregui and Alexis Gougeard. For some riders, the Vuelta a Burgos is the beginning of the road to the Vuelta."
AG2R La Mondiale for the Vuelta a Burgos:
Pierre Latour, Quentin Jauregui, Blel Kadri, Sébastien Minard, Alexis Gougeard, Johan Vansummeren, Matteo Montaguti and Romain Campistrous
