It has now been confirmed that the Lotto-Soudal team will also be riding at the highest level in 2015. "This year we have had eight victories in the WorldTour. I would like to increase that number that in 2015," team manager Marc Sergeant tells Sporza.
"We submitted the paper on time and there were no problems with the International Cycling Union so we got the license," Marc Sergeant says.
"Next year I hope that we do as well as we did this year. We achieved 29 victories and ended the year in sixth place in the team ranking. With André Greipel, we have the international victory king in our team.
"In the WorldTour we took eight wins. I would like this number to increase in 2015. As a team we may still shine in other races but it is better to win the real classics.
"Our spring also needs to be a bit better. In the Belgian opening weekend, we were not in contention. In the Tour of Flanders, Gent-Wevelgem and Paris-Roubaix, we had no luck so in those races we didn't manage to achieve any results."
