Spaniard Luis Angel Maté will not compete the Vuelta a Espana at the end of this month. The Cofidis, solutions crédits rider is too tired after a difficult Tour de France.
"It's a very difficult decision, of course. But seeing the shape in which I finished the Tour de France, in agreement with the team, we decided that the sensible thing is not to run again a grand tour. I will not be able to be one hundred percent, the level that is required to compete a three-week race", he explained according to Ciclo 21.
Instead, he will run some races held in France: the Tour du Limousin (2.1) and GP Plouay (1.WT). "In principle, this race will be ma last this season. Then I will try to rest and recover for next year."
