Lampre-Merida and sports director Joxean Fernandez Matxin are likely to part ways in 2015.
Nothing has been confirmed yet but according La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Ciro Scognamiglio, Lampre-Merida will part ways with sports director Joxean Fernandez Matxin after the current season. Two years ago the Spaniard joined the team to provide them with international experience but it seems that his contract with the Italian team has not been renewed despite the fact that he was the architect behind Przemyslaw Niemiec's and Winner Anacona's stage wins in the Vuelta a Espana.
Earlier in his career, Matxin was one of the leaders at the Saunier Duval, Footon-Servetto and Geox teams before teamed up with the Italian squad.
