After the announcements of changes to the courses for E3 Harelbeke and Gent-Wevelgem, the route for Omloop Het Nieuwsblad will also undergo some minor adjustments. The Molenberg is replaced by the Boembekeberg and the Eikenmolen and Tenbosse will be added to the list of hellingen
"The Molenberg will be omitted because of road works in the flat section before the climb," said race director Wim Van Herreweghe. "The Boembekeberg is not particularly steep, but difficult." The start and finish are still in Ghent.
The distance remains the same; Omloop Het Nieuwsblad will again be 200 kilometers long. The race will be held on February 27 and Ian Stannard will try to make it three in a row in the opening Belgian race.
