Earlier this year MTN-Qhubeka won the South African national championships with Louis Meintjes and now the team hopes to add more jerseys to their collection. This weekend several of their European and African riders will be at the start at their national championships and have two titles to defend.

While the South African National championships took place earlier in the year with Louis Meintjes riding away as the National Road Race Champion, the European countries along with a few African countries are all hosting their National Championships over the course of this weekend.

With Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung having riders come from 9 different nations, a number of their riders will be in action in the hope of securing a national jersey. The opportunity to wear your nation's colours in any sport is a tremendous honour and so all our riders will be gunning for the top step of their respective podiums.

Tsgabu Grmay and Ignatas Konovalovas will both start as defending champions of their national titles (Grmay – Ethiopian Road Race Champion; Konovalovas – Lithuanian Time Trial Champion). Gerald Ciolek came close to being the Champion of Germany last year, taking 2nd behind Andre Greipel (Lotto Belisol) and hopes to possibly go 1 position better this time around.

Below is the list of Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung riders racing the National Championships this weekend, the majority of time trials will be on Friday with the road races taking place on Sunday.
