NetApp-Endura have signed three of the biggest talents from the German-speaking countries as stagiaires. Sprinter Alexander Krieger and GC riders Patrik Konrad and Gregor Mühlberger will get the chance to prove their skills at the highest level.

Team NetApp – Endura will enter the second half of the season from August 1 with three stagiaires. 

“This year we again want to give several young riders the opportunity to take a peek at the pro business. We decided on a sprinter and two classification riders, who have all already proven their abilities. We’re planning a demanding program for the three of them, so that we can size them up and they can show their talent. The door to the team and as a result the opportunity for a professional contract is open to all of them as of the new season,” Team Manager Ralph Denk said about his new recruits.

Alexander Krieger (Team Stuttgart) will have the opportunity to demonstrate his sprint and classic talents. In the last few years the 22-year old German has repeatedly drawn attention to himself with Top 10 results in professional races, and most recently put in a convincing performance with a fourth place in the German Championships. 

The two Austrians Patrick Konrad (Team Gourmetfein Simplon Wels) and Gregor Mühlberger (Tirol Cycling Team), complete the other places in the team. The 22-year old Konrad is regarded as one of the most talented riders in Austria. He finished on the podium of one of the most prestigious new-talent races as third in last year’s Tour de l’Avenir. This year, he won the Oberösterreich-Rundfahrt and managed to complete the Tour of Austria against competition from the WorldTour in fourth place.

Mühlberger, 20-years old, is currently the Austrian U23 national champion and vice-champion both in time trials and on the road in the elite category. He succeeded in finishing the Oberösterreich-Rundfahrt in second place behind his compatriot Konrad. Apart from his time trial skills, he demonstrated his talent as a climber in the major stage of the Tour of Austria and won the renowned “Glöcknerkönig” title.
