The next group of CCC Sprandi Polkowice riders will kick off the 2016 season by taking part in Vuelta Ciclista a la Region de Murcia and Clasica de Almeria.

"We want to give the opportunity to test the legs and get into racing rhythm to as many of our riders as we can. This is why we are lining up in total 13 riders in orange for these two events. The only one who will participate in both of them is Maciej Paterski who is preparing for the big races in the first part of the season. "Piotr Wadecki, sporting director of CCC Sprandi Polkowice, said. "In the previous years we have always performed well in these one-day events as their profiles suited us. We would usually finish in the top 10 and this is our goal also this time."

Vuelta Ciclista a la Region de Murcia has held almost a fixed position in the team’s racing program. In the previous three editions, one of the CCC Sprandi Polkowice cyclists would finish in the top 10 every time. Last year it was Maciej Paterski who claimed 6th. In 2016 the race will be held on a modified route compared to 2015, but it will still remain demanding.  The start will be located in San Javier and the finish in Murcia. There are 200 kilometers to cover.

The orange  squad will be represented by good climbers such as Victor de la Parte, Jan Hirt and Felix Großschartner. The former has showcased solid form in his first race of the season, Volta a Valenciana, which he completed in 20th place overall. In addition to them and Paterski, the roster will include other riders who feel comfortable in the mountains such as Łukasz Owsian, young Patryk Stosz and Marcin Mrożek for whom it will be a debut in the orange colors.

CCC Sprandi Polkowice lineup for Vuelta Ciclista a la Region de Murcia (February 13, 1.1): Victor de la Parte, Jan Hirt, Felix Großschartner, Maciej Paterski, Łukasz Owsian, Patryk Stosz, Marcin Mrożek.

Another 180 kilometers are awaiting the next day at Clasica de Almeria. Most of the climbing will be done in the first part of the race, so the profile should suit riders like Bartłomiej Matysiak who can survive small hills in the main group and sprint from a 30-rider field. 2 and 3 years ago Matysiak finished 7th, while Paterski missed out on top 10 last year and got 11th.

The Polish champion from 2014 will be at the start this timeagain . He will be supported by all-round teammates, who are primarily strong in the flat terrain, such as Eryk Latoń, Nikolay Mihaylov and Mateusz Taciak.

CCC Sprandi Polkowice lineup for Clasica de Almeria (February 14, 1.1): Bartłomiej Matysiak, Maciej Paterski, Eryk Latoń, Nikolay Mihaylov, Mateusz Taciak, Josef Cerny, Jakub Kaczmarek
