During the Volta a Catalunyam another part of CCC Sprandi Polkowice squad will tackle two demanding Belgian races – Dwars door Vlaanderen and Gent – Wevelgem in Flanders Fields.
"We continue our campaign in the Benelux countries, which prepare us for the most important races – Gent-Wevelgem and Ronde van Vlaanderen, that is held a week later," Piotr Wadecki, sporting director of CCC Sprandi Polkowice, explains. "Our riders are gaining experience and are getting used to racing in specific conditions, such as narrow and cobblestone roads. We hope that we are in our best shape for the key Belgian events. Simone Ponzi will be the leader of the team. He has never won in Belgium, but has a victory in the Duthc Energiewacht Dwars door Drenthe under his belt."
