With a fourth place finish, Kiel Reijnen (Unitedhealthcare) defended his overall lead in the Tour of Utah after stage 3. However, the American missed out on another stage victory on a course that suited him perfectly.
“As much as the yellow jersey is an honor, it makes it tough to win stages,” he said. “In the end we are really happy with how it turned out. The boys rode really well.
“They have a lot of faith in me and I have a lot of faith in them. I don’t think that we’re going to slow down anytime soon. The racing we’ve had so far has led itself to aggressive racing. I think that the fans have had a good show. It’s exciting to watch.”
