Androni - Sidermec have started to prepare for the next season. The Italian team has gathered in Cesenatico where the work started with a seminar about doping before moving to Rimini where the team had the first medical examination.
Gianni Savio is again leading the team and made a speech to reiterate the philosophy of the squad aftr a year during which they were suspended for a month due to positive doping tests for Fabio Taborre and Davide Appollonio.
"During the season, we will ask for more commitment and seriousness but there will never be any pressure to achieve results at all costs. Precisely for this reason we will continue our 'zero tolerance' against doping. We will be inflexible like we were against the two irresponsible riders who, with criminal behavior, ruined our season. The two doped riders will have to answer in court for the serious damage that they have caused.”
The legal cases against Taborre and Appollonio will be heard in March.
