Caleb Ewan is often cited as one of the future great sprinters of the peloton. The rider of Orica GreenEDGE Cycling Team won once again a medal at the world road race championship. He finished 2nd in the U23 event. Shayne Bannan, the manager of the team, is impressed with Ewan.
“What I have seen so far is a guy who is really mature for his age. He is a very professional person, he really has a good head on his shoulders. He thinks things through – the processes, the wins and the losses – extremely well“, Bannan told CyclingTips.
Shane Bannan know that he has an exciting talent even if he did not get the rainbow jersey he hoped for : “He is going to develop into a very good professional for the future. It is going to be pretty exciting for us to work with him in that initial period, to really help him in those first two years.”
After the departure of Matthew Goss, he will be the official sprinter of this team and he will have his team in his service.
