The Classics season gets underway this weekend with Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne.
Team Skyheading to Belgium looking to win our third Omloop Het Nieuwsblad title in a row, following Ian Stannard's back-to-back victories in 2014 and 2015, and will also be aiming to capture the first Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne crown since Mark Cavendish did the honours back in 2012.
The team always fared well in this Flandrian double-header - Juan Antonio Flecha claimed the first-ever Classics success at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad in 2010, and Chris Sutton also sprinted to victory in Kuurne 12 months later. If that wasn't enough, they've also earned further six podium spots over the last six seasons.
Stannard, who is focusing on other objectives this year, won't be defending his title, but a strong squad consisting of Andy Fenn, Michal Golas, Christian Knees, Gianni Moscon, Alex Peters, Salvatore Puccio, Luke Rowe and Elia Viviani will represent Team Sky in both races.
