It was a good effort by Team Southeast that put Samuele Conti in the breakaway of Milano – Torino. Because of the absence of the captain Mauro Finetto, it wasn’t enough reach a top position though
Samuele Conti took part in the breakaway born at km 8 with Nicolas Lefrancois, Daniel Teklehaimanot, Luca Chirico and Alessandro Malaguti. The 5 were caught just before the first of the two climbs to Superga where Diego Rosa won with a great solo action.
“I knew that it was important for the team to be in the spotlight of this race because is organized by RCS and also because it was broadcast live by the Italian television. It was hard to arrive but it was a good try," Conti said.
