As of January 1, the Belgian cycling team Topsport Vlaanderen will be known as Sport Vlaanderen. Baloise remains as a second name sponsor. The pro continental team will start the season with a 22-rider roster.
Among the 22 riders are six newcomers: Piet Allegaert, Lindsay De Vylder, Benjamin Declercq, Kevin Deltombe, Christophe Noppe and Edward Planckaert.
Floris De Tier (LottoNL-Jumbo), Pieter Vanspeybrouck (Wanty-Groupe Gobert), Tim Declercq (Etixx-Quick Step) and Jef Van Meirhaege (retired) will leave the talent team of Walter Planckaert. For Otto Vergaerde and Sander Helven, the destination still unknown. Gijs Van Hoecke is rumoured to have signed with LottoNL-jumbo.
