Jasper Stuyven and Fabio Felline agreed to contract extensions with Trek Factory Racing. Both riders are key assets in TFR’s mission to develop talent and have shown abundant sparks since the team began in 2014.

Stuyven, a former Junior World Champion and U23 Paris-Roubaix victor, was a key support for Fabian Cancellara in the 2014 spring races and continued showing great shape all the way to the Vuelta a España where he amazed all with his sprinting ability by placing fourth in three stages. 2015 was a more bumpy road for the 23-year-old Belgian. A crash in March disrupted his spring campaign and a virus made him miss his first Tour de France selection by a hair.

“All through the bad luck this season I have felt a lot of support and trust from the management,” says Stuyven. “Therefore, I’m very happy to stay with this group of people. I feel really good in this team and I’m motivated for more. I have learned so much in the races that I love the most: the cobblestone Classics. I’m hoping to take the next stept in those races, alongside the Master himself. Racing with Fabian (Cancellara) is all I can wish for!”

“Jasper’s talent and potential are unmistakable," manager Luca Guercilena said. "His maturity is really beyond his years and we are very happy to continue our collaboration. Jasper’s heart lies in the Classics, but his abilities go much broader. His power allows him to excel in tough sprints and his competitiveness and killer instincts are traits that will take him far. I’m really excited to see his continued progression.”

Stuyven is next scheduled to race the Eneco Tour followed by the Vuelta a España.

2015 has been a breakthrough season for 25-year-old Fabio Felline with stage wins in the Critérium International and the Tour of the Basque Country and no less than 17 top ten placings since the start of the season.

“I’m very satisfied and happy with this extension because I have found a second family in this team," he said. "The management has given me the confidence that I needed and my motivation is very high to do even better next season, starting with the Classics.  I feel that I can still grow as a rider and I’d like to focus on new goals.”

“Fabio has a good sprint and has the ability to get over a series of small climbs," Guercilena said. "He’s a very valuable rider for our team, both in one day races and stage races. His mindset this season is that of a true winner. He fits in really well with the rest of the team and I think there’s still a lot of progression possible for Fabio!”

Felline will join Stuyven at the Eneco Tour and will race a series of one-day races in September.
