Geraint Thomas will not be present during the British road race championships. According to Cyclingnews, the Team Sky rider was down to ride both the individual time trial on Thursday and the road race on Sunday but his name has been removed from both start lists. Team Sky have not yet explain his choice.
The 29 year-old rider, who won this season the E3 Harelbecke and the Volta ao Algarve, would have been well suited to both races, in particular the road race with the Lincoln Grand Prix circuit. The next month, the Welshman will race the Tour de France and he will be one of the main riders that we have to follow during the first week with the cobbled stage.
