Tinkoff-Saxo have selected a strong classics roster for the Eneco Tour which starts on Monday. With no TT specialist on the team, they will be aimining for stage wins with riders like Matti Breschel, Mikal Kolar, Ivan Rovny and Nikolai Trussov.
Monday, the 11th of August, Tinkoff-Saxo take on the Dutch/Belgian stage race, Eneco Tour. The race contains seven stages in total including a 9.6 kilometer long time trial and quite a few hilly stages that will probably split the peloton to bits and pieces.
DS, Fabrizio Guidi states:
“Our goal in Eneco is to win one stage. Eneco is strongly inspired from classic northern races such as Ronde van Vlaandern, Liege and Amstel. We will face all the typical northern situations concerning wind, cobblestones, short, steep climbs and narrow roads. All riders are free to go in our quest for stage glory”.
Line-up:
Matti Breschel, Karsten Kroon, Ivan Rovny, Rory Sutherland, Evgeny Petrov, Jay McCarthy, Michael Kolar and Nikolay Trusov.
