With the first Gran Tour of the season, the Giro d’Italia, scheduled to begin next week, teams are beginning to announce their squads for La Corsa Rosa.

Today French team AG2R announced the names of the riders who will defend the team’s colours at the Italian stage race.

The team will primarily be searching for stage wins in the mountains for home crowd favourite Domenico Pozzovivo and Columbian climbing ace, Carlos Betancur.

The Giro d’Italia will be held from 4 to 26 May.
