FDJ have announced their roster for the Tour Down Under and seem to be destined to ride aggressively in the race. While Arnold Jeannesson may target the overall standings, young neo-pro Lorenzo Manzin may get the chance to test himself in WorldTour sprinting.
Finish National Road Race champion Jussi Veikkanen will feature in the line-up of his French FDJ.fr team at the 2015 Santos Tour Down Under.
The 2015 Santos Tour Down Under might be the event where FDJ.fr takes honours for the third time in the Virgin Australia Winning Team Classification. FDJ.fr has won this classification twice, in 2008 and 2009, making them one of only three teams to have achieved this during the event’s history.
Santos Tour Down Under Race Director Mike Turtur said cycling fans can expect a strong performance from FDJ.fr.
“FDJ.fr always brings a competitive team to the Santos Tour Down Under and this year is no different. Having finished tenth at the 2013 Santos Tour Down Under Veikkanen may well be a strong contender for the Santos Ochre Jersey in 2015, making him one to watch,” said Mike Turtur.
FDJ.FR will make their tenth appearance at the Santos Tour Down Under in 2015.
“Joining Veikkanen is French rider, Jeremy Roy who was awarded the Most Aggressive Rider jersey on Stage 13 of the 2011 Tour de France,” said Mike Turtur.
The FDJ.fr team will be led by Team Director Frédéric Guesdon (France) and include riders: Jérémy Roy (France), Arnold Jeannesson (France), Olivier Le Gac (France), Lorrenzo Manzin (France), Cédric Pineau (France), Sébastien Chavanel (France) and Jussi Veikkanen (Finland).
