Lars Boom and Zdenek Stybar are ready to return and now Niels Albert also has got a taste of cyclo-cross again. "Just did some training again. I went up the Smeysberg. A comeback?” he tweeted.
In 2014, Niels Albert (29) was forced to leave the field after he was diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmias. The double world champion is currently team manager for Wout van Aert at Vastgoedservice.
In two weeks, Albert will be back in the field at the Zilvermeer in Mol where the 'Boonen & Friends’ charity race is on the menu. Albert will be up against other former cyclo-cross riders and private companies.
"Just did some training again," Albert announced with Twitter and Instagram. “I went up the Smeysberg. A comeback?”
