Alessandro Petacchi is looking to extend his career as a professional cyclist into 2015. The 40-year old Italian will not get a contract extension at Omega Pharma-Quick Step, but is currently looking for a new team for 2015.

Wielerflits.nl reported today that according to Ciro Scognamiglio from La Gazzetta dello sport, Petacchi is currently in talks with Pro-Continental team Neri Sottoli.

Neri Sottoli is busy on the transfermarket. Tuttobiciweb.it reported today that the team signed Luca Wackermann and is also in advanced negotiations with Filippo Pozzato.
