Team Wanty-Groupe Gobert will begin its Ardennes campaign at De Brabantse Pijl (1.HC) this Wednesday. The 56th edition starting in Leuven features a course unchanged compared to last year. The parcours is a total distance of 203km. The team around Enrico Gasparotto consists of Jérôme Baugnies, Gaëtan Bille, Dimitri Claeys, Guillaume Martin, Marco Minnaard, Mark McNally and Frederik Veuchelen.

After a good Volta a Catalunya with three top ten in stages, the Italian team captain Enrico Gasparotto is ready for the most important week of the year.

"I've done my homework. After the Volta a Catalunya, I trained in Tenerife. I feel good. Tomorrow, it is the first test after the training camp in Tenerife. I hope to be safe for the next races", Enrico Gasparotto said.

Enrico Gasparotto rode two times the Brabantse Pijl in 2007 and 2008 on the previous parcours.

"I don't remember the parcours. It does not make any difference because it changed. I rely on my teammates to explain to me how to race here, but this race suits me", he added.

"I expect to have several guys in the final with Gaëtan Bille, Jérôme Baugnies, Dimitri Claeys and of course Enrico Gasparotto who is coming back after a training camp in Spain. He rode a good Volta a Catalunya and I think he is on good shape", sports director Hilaire Van der Schueren concludes.
