Androni-Sidermec have finalized their roster with the addition of Giorgio Cecchinel (1989, Southeast) and have now gathered their riders in Benidorm.
Cecchinel rode for Neri Sottoli 2014 when he did the Giro d'Italia, and this year he again rode for the same team under the new name of Southeast. With this signing, manager Gianni Savio will have 16 riders, the minimum required by the International Cycling Union (UCI) for professional continental teams.
The new faces are Cecchinel, Rodolfo Torres (Team Colombia), Arley Egan Bernal, Luca Pacioni, Mirko Selvaggi (Wanty-Groupe Gobert), Davide Viganò (Team Idea) and Daniele Ratto (UnitedHealthcare). Franco Pellizotti, Marco Bandiera, Marco Benfatto, Francesco Chicchi, Tiziano Dall'Antonia, Marco Frapporti, Alberto Nardin, Alessio Taliani and Serghei Tvetcov return from the 2015 team.
The entire team except Ţvetcov Egan Bernal and Torres will gather in Benidorm next week and stay there until December 20, under the direction of Giovanni Ellena, Gianpaolo Cheula and Roberto Miodini. The Italian team will start their season in the Tour de San Luis in Argentina.
