Gianni Savio's plans to get his Androni team into the WorldTour in the future has received a significant boost after the partnership with the Venezuelan cycling federation has been renewed. Furthermore, the team has announced that six Venezuelans will be riding for them in 2015.
The Cycling Federation of Venezuela has renewed its partnership with the Androni team for the 2015 season after the last few seasons have brought satisfaction to both parties. The team which is led by Gianni Savio and has Franco Pellizotti as captain has confirmed that Venezuelans Carlos Galviz, Yonder Godoy and Jackson Rodriguez will continue with the team and will be joined Carlos Gimenez and two other young men riders whose names are likely to be unveiled at the official presentation of the team scheduled for the weekend.
The youth team Androni - Gobernacion de Yaracuy is also set to continue in 2015 while the Venezuelan U23 National Team is set to do more races in Europe in 2015. The purpose is to strengthen the development of young talent for the 2015 Pan-American Games in Toronto and the 2016 Rio Olympics.
